Major General (R) Gary Harrell recently left active duty after more than 35 years of service, most of which was with special operations units. Notable assignments include: Commander, 1st SFOD-D; Director, Joint Security Directorate, USCENTCOM; Commanding General, Task Force Bowie; Commanding General Special Operations Command Central; Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations/Commander, Deployable JTF, NATO; retired in 2008 as the Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Special Operations Command.

Major General (R) James W. Parker recently left active duty after more than 38 years of service, most of which was with special operations units. Notable assignments include; Commander 7th Special Forces Group; Deputy Commanding General, US Army Special Operations Command; Commanding General Special Operations Command South; Director of Intelligence and Information Operations USSOCOM, Deputy Commanding General Special Operations Central, Iraq; Director Center for Special Operations (J3) USSOCOM; retired in 2008 as Commander JFK Special Warfare Center and School (SWCS).




Brigadier General (Ret.) Richard Mills  

Brigadier General (Ret.) Richard Mills

Brigadier General (R) Richard Mills left active duty after 32 years of service, most of which was with special operations units. Notable assignments include: Commander, 10th Special Forces Group; Director of Special Operations and primary instructor at the U.S. Army War College; Chief of Staff and Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Special Operations Command; Director of the Counterterrorism Center (CTC), Central Intelligence Agency; retired in 2007 as the Commanding General, Special Operations Command, Korea.




General (Ret.) David L. Grange  

General (Ret.) David L. Grange

General Grange served 30 years in the U.S. Army with his final position being Commanding General of the First Infantry Division. During a highly decorated military career, Grange was a Ranger, Green Beret, Aviator, Infantryman and member of other special operating units.  Assignments took him to Vietnam, the DMZ of Korea, Grenada, Russia, Africa, former Warsaw Pact countries, Bosnia, Kosovo, Central and South America, and the Middle East, to include the Gulf War.

Units included the 82nd Airborne Division, the 101st Airborne Division, L Company 75th Rangers, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Infantry Divisions, the 5th Special Forces Group, 158th Aviation Battalion, CT Units, and the Ranger Regiment. He also served as an advisor to the 81st Recon Battalion of the Vietnamese Airborne Division. General Grange was awarded three Silver Stars and two Purple Hearts during the service of his country.
