Daytona Beach, FL - Oak Grove Technologies announced today they will be exhibiting at the Mentor-Protege Conference in Daytona Beach, FL. This year's conference will take place at the Hilton Daytona Beach, March 10-13.
The Mentor-Protege program was established in 1990 to encourage major DoD prime contractors to provide assistance and improve the capabilities of small business proteges. The program was also designed to improve the protege's ability to compete for federal contracts. Oak Grove was the first SDVOSB recognized under the Department of Defense's Mentor-Protege program.
The 2008 U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Nunn-Perry Award for Mentor Protege Excellence will be awarded at this conference. In 2007, Oak Grove and its mentor, Science Applications International Corporation [NYSE: SAI), were among eight companies presented with the Nunn-Perry Award and recognized for their outstanding contributions to the warfighter and our nation's defense.
"It was an honor to be a 2007 recipient of the prestigious Nunn-Perry Award", said Mark Gross, President and CEO of Oak Grove. "Through our business relationship with SAIC, Oak Grove has been able to achieve many of its business goals and we have experienced remarkable growth. We look forward to being a part of the 2008 Mentor-Protege Conference and supporting this year's nominees."
