OAK GROVE SPONSORS 6TH ANNUAL USASOC/USAJFKSWCS SNIPER COMPETITION

Fort Bragg, NC – Oak Grove Technologies will sponsor the 6th Annual USASOC/USAJFKSWCS Sniper Competition.

On 23 March, 27 two-man teams from around the world will converge on Range 37 at Fort Bragg to compete in this week-long, day-and-night sniper competition.

This grueling event tests and honors some of the best sniper observer teams in the U.S. Army Special Operations Command as well as some of the best teams from other USSOCOM units, Federal law enforcement, and allied SOF units. Some of the diverse teams invited to compete include: Special Forces (Green Berets), Rangers, Special Mission Units, Navy SEALS, Marine Special Ops, Federal LEO, and Foreign Allied SOF Units.

Competitors will showcase their ability to shoot and engage targets in addition to other fieldcraft. These types of events are great tools to evaluate training and potential areas for improvement for the shooters.

USAJFKSWCS and the 1st SWTG (A) along with the Special Forces Association-Chapter 62 will host the event.

This event also provides an opportunity for vendors to showcase their products and services on 26-27 March, 2015. An on-range vendor display will be located beside the competition on Range 37, in an environmentally controlled tent. A vendor shooting competition and a night observation/ live fire event will take place on 26 March. The display will continue 27 March for half a day and provide time for daylight vendor live-fire range demos.

At the conclusion of the competition, the competitors, vendors, and support staff will be honored with food and prizes at the awards banquet in the Pine Needle Lodge of Southern Pines, NC.
