OAK GROVE TECHNOLOGIES ATTENDS SITEC INDUSTRY DAY

Tampa, FL – Senior Vice President of Business Development, Frank Beaty, and Director of Special Operations Programs, Jack Zeigler, attended the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Special Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contracts Industry Day (SITEC) held at the Doubletree Hotel, 4500 W. Cypress Street, Tampa, FL on April 7-8.

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is finalizing the Acquisition Strategy for a series of contracts for IT Management, Data Center, Distributive Computing, Enterprise Network, Application Management, IT Production and Specialty Services in support of the SOF Information Enterprise. The services are currently acquired under USSOCOM’s Enterprise Information Technology Contract (EITC) and Tactical Local Area Network (TACLAN) Contract.

“The SITEC provides USSOCOM with worldwide IT infrastructure, encompassing all SOF IT assets from the garrison environment, down to the deployed sensor and operator,” explained Zeigler. “Over 75,000 users are supported worldwide with both classified and unclassified networks. The purpose of the Industry Day was to explain the USSOCOM acquisition strategy to all interested vendors and attendees. The current contract expires 31 March 2011, and USSOCOM plans to execute a strategy of multiple awards beginning in July 2010 to ensure integrated support through transition.”
