SCORM 2004: LEARNING IN A NEW WORLD
Tuesday, March 15th, 2011
Alexandria, VA – Oak Grove is working with Caspian Learning to produce the first SCORM 2004 compliant web-based training, natively within the ThinkingWorlds software product.
ThinkingWorlds is an eLearning software development product which Oak Grove uses to create virtually immersive web-based training simulations to model the interaction of multiple role based avatars.
Previously, the ThinkingWorlds software product adhered to the SCORM 1.2 specifications but because of the growing demand for SCORM 2004, Caspian Learning is expanding its Learning Management System (LMS) implementation capabilities.
Steve McDonald, Senior Web Developer for Oak Grove said, “Every LMS communicates with the courses it hosts using SCORM, and we’re seeing much more support for SCORM version 2004.”
By creating real time 3D simulated experiences within ThinkingWorlds, Oak Grove is able to implement more engaging training for its clients and partners.
