SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TO ATTEND SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCES INDUSTRY CONFERENCE

Oak Grove Technologies announced today Senior Vice President of Business Development, Frank Beaty, will be at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida June 2-4 to represent Oak Grove at the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC). The theme for SOFIC 2009 is “Science and Technology for Special Operations Forces – Improving Operator Capabilities for Fighting the Global War on Terrorism.”

“SOFIC, once again, was an outstanding opportunity to meet and mingle with other government vendors and government workers,” said Beaty. “It provided a chance to attend panel sessions where discussions were held on technologies that would benefit tomorrow’s SOF warfighter. It’s becoming apparent that approaches/tools for warfighting are changing, although most of the principles are remaining the same. On a more personal note, I was able to get reacquainted with people I’d worked with from SOCOM headquarters and previous days in the Air Force. Overall, a great event!”

SOFIC 2009 will feature over 500 exhibits and expects 1200 plus attendees from Government, academia, and industry. The conference will address issues such as development of a “shared understanding of the USSOCOM Command’s needs and priorities and to establish greater synergy and responsiveness between industry’s technology development activities and the Command’s technology gaps.” The conference aims to give all those in attendance partnership opportunities as well as a better understanding on how to respond to Technology Development Objectives (TDOs).
